Details of Mac OS X 10.9 have been leaked

How many more big cats are there which Apple can use for naming their future OS X releases? Well not that many. Lion is now the confirmed name for 10.7 but what could come next? I can now exclusively reveal that after 10.7 is released, Apple will make a smaller update release for 10.8 which will be called 'Mountain Lion'. This will be a minor release that mostly contains performance updates, and will mirror how the 10.5 release of Leopard was followed by 10.6 Snow Leopard. Hopefully, this 10.8 news quashes the rumors that Steve Jobs was favoring the name 'Ocelot'. And so, what can come after that? Does 10.8 mark the end of the line for Mac OS X? Well, I can also reveal that Apple will be sticking with the feline theme, but have made contingency plans for where to go when they run out of the big cat names. So here is an exclusive look at how Mac OS 10.9 will be named and marketed:
