Christmas Cookies
My better half has spent the day, and by that I mean *all* of the day, making Christmas cookies to give to friends. These cookies are called speculass, a traditional Dutch treat at this time of year. The house has had a lovely aroma about it all day. By about 4:30 this afternoon, we were ready for the big cookie run, driving around to see our friends and drop off little batches of home-baked goodness to give to them.
