The Cosumnes River Preserve is a large wetland area about 45 minutes drive south of Sacramento. It's full of swampy reed beds and wooden boardwalks, where many many birds can be seen (if you're into that kind of thing). More importantly (to me), it's the location where @fairymel and I became engaged, one year ago to the day.
